How to Enter: Using your Twitter account, follow @Scholastic and tweet @Scholastic with the hashtag #SnowDay. Please note that the hashtag ‘#SnowDay’ MUST be in your tweet or your entry will not be counted. Entry period: entries must be received between 12:00 p.m. ET Feb. 10, 2010 and 5:00 p.m. ET Feb. 10, 2010. An entry will be counted EACH time the hashtag “#SnowDay” is detected within the entry period on Twitter. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misdated, incomplete or illegible entries. Further, Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for (a) telephone, electronic, program, network, Internet, or computer delays, deletions, interruptions or other failures of any kind; (b) late, lost, damaged, failed, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, or delayed computer messages or entries; or (c) any human error that may occur in the processing of any entry, nor are they responsible for any theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, whether caused by the sender or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this giveaway. Proof of online submission of your entry does not constitute proof of delivery.
Eligibility: Giveaway is open to all legal residents of the fifty United States and D.C., who are over 18 years of age. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, and members of their families living in the same household, of Sponsor, its affiliates, distributors and agencies, are not eligible to enter this giveaway. In the event of a dispute as to any twitter account, the authorized holder of the email address used to register at twitter.com will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
Drawing: Giveaway runs from 12:00 p.m. ET Feb. 10, 2010 and officially closes on 5:00 p.m. ET Feb. 10, 2010. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on Feb. 10, 2010. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Ten winners will be drawn at random around 6:00pm ET on Feb. 10, 2010 from all eligible entries.

• Sponsor will direct message potential winners. Each winner will be required to provide a full name, working email address and physical shipping address (P.O. General: By entering this giveaway, entrants affirm that they have read and accepted these Official Rules.
Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway if the administration or integrity of the giveaway is compromised. Sponsor’s decisions concerning all matters relating to this giveaway shall be final and binding.
All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, distributors and agencies from and against any and all liability, claims or actions for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons or property sustained through participation in this giveaway or the receipt, ownership or use of a prize once accepted. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
No cash substitutions, transfers or assignments of prizes allowed, except by Sponsor in case of unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
